Pastor, 2 Civic Leaders Back Mayor's Re-election

The pastor of a Brooklyn megachurch and two Manhattan civic leaders made the first official endorsements of Mayor Michael Bloomberg's re-election campaign.
    
The Rev. A.R. Bernard is pastor of the Christian Cultural Center. He says he is proud to unequivocally endorse Bloomberg, who is running for a third term.
    
Manhattan civic leaders Virginia Montague and Joyce Johnson are also supporting Bloomberg.
    
Johnson was New York state field director for Barack Obama's presidential campaign. She is president and CEO of the Black Equity Alliance.
    
Montague is president of the New York Coalition of 100 Black Women.
