A customer is recovering after he was hit by an out-of-control SUV in Westchester, police say.
An 88-year-old woman apparently accelerated the SUV instead of braking, sending the vehicle straight through the front of Shoretown Stationery on Pelham Road in New Rochelle, authorities said.
Surveillance video shows the SUV rushing over a curb before slamming into the front of the store.
The vehicle hit a man standing near the store’s entrance. He suffered a broken ankle.
No charges have been filed against the woman.
