2 Suspects Nabbed in Long Island Burglary: Police

Two men suspected of burglarizing a Long Island home have been caught, police said.

Raymond Buckridge, 32, and Michael Kelly, 46, both of Malverne, were arrested Monday on burglary and related charges. Kelly had a warrant out for his arrest.

The two men allegedly robbed a Valley Stream home on the morning of Jan. 20.

Police say they broke the glass of a side window before entering the home and stealing jewelry.

Detectives found blood next to the broken glass and were able to recover Kelly’s DNA from it, according to police.

Buckridge had pawned some of the jewelry at a pawn shop that day. He was subsequently identified by the pawn shop’s owner.

The two suspects were arrested in front of a home on King Street in Malverne. They were scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Hempstead.
