Police investigating a white powder found on a NJ Transit train at Penn Station have issued an all-clear, authorities say.
First responders were called to the station after a NJ Transit crew member found a white powdery substance at around 5:30 p.m., according to the rail agency.
The MTA said the train was cleared as a precaution and EMS was on standby, but did not consider it a "major event" and it was not impacting train service.
The powder was deemed harmless and the scene was later cleared.
