Brooklyn Man, 26, Dies After Fall from NJ Cliff

He is the third person in two months to die from falling off a cliff near that point

Authorities say a Brooklyn man died after plunging from the cliffs along New Jersey's Palisades Interstate Parkway overlooking the Hudson River.

Palisades Interstate Parkway police received a call late Saturday from witnesses near the Rockefeller Lookout in Englewood Cliffs, just north of the George Washington Bridge, about a person on the wrong side of the safety barrier.

They told police the man had walked beyond signs that warn people not to approach the edge. By the time police arrived, the man, identified as 26-year-old Artem Adzhevy, had already fallen.

His death is not considered suspicious. Adzhevy is the third person to die in two months in a fall from that point.
