Teen Wanted in Assault on MTA Bus Driver: NYPD

Cops are searching for a teen suspect caught on camera assaulting an MTA bus driver, the second time in recent weeks a driver has been attacked in the city.

Police said the 69-year-old driver was inside an idling bus in the area of Southern Boulevard and East Fordham Road in Fordham at about 6 p.m. Tuesday when a teenager got on the bus and punched him.

Video from inside the bus shows the teen banging on the doors to get in, and when the driver opens them, the teen approaches and appears to shout at him before punching him twice in the face, according to police.

The teen then runs away.

Last week, police released bus video of a man accused of pummeling a 62-year-old driver in Brooklyn in January. The suspect, Thutmose Clark, was arrested on assault charges Wednesday, police said.

The suspect in the Bronx incident is described as about 16 to 19 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet and about 150 pounds.
