2 Shot Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide at JFK Hilton Garden Inn

Police say a group of men were meeting at the hotel Thursday

Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide shooting that left two dead at the Hilton Garden Inn near John F. Kennedy Airport Thursday afternoon.

Law enforcement officials tell NBC 4 New York that a group of six men were in the hotel for a meeting in the lobby cafe when a fight broke out.

One of the men shot another and then turned the gun on himself just after 1 p.m.

Police recovered a gun at the scene. The other men ran from the hotel as police were arriving and were taken into custody.
