9 Rescued From Capsized Boat in Point Pleasant Canal in New Jersey: Officials

At least nine people were rescued from a capsized boat in New Jersey, officials say.

The boat capsized in Point Pleasant Canal. The canal connects Manasquan River to northern Barnegat Bay.

Nobody was injured, according to police.

The U.S. Coast Guard, New Jersey State Police and the Manasquan Fire Department all took part in the rescue.

It was not known how the boat capsized.

Meanwhile, at around 2:15 p.m. Sunday four people were rescued from a flooded vessel near Fire Island, officials said.
