Authorities have announced two arrests in the death of a man whose body was found in a car trunk in northern New Jersey.
Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi says 27-year-old Esteban Hernandez-Vazquez of North Bergen died of blunt force trauma after being struck in the head.
His body was found Aug. 4. The car was parked in a wooded area of Lincoln Park.
Authorities said Thursday that they've charged 20-year-old Carlos Rojas of North Bergen with murder and 45-year-old Oscar Benedicto-Aleman with helping Rojas move the body. Investigators believe the killing occurred at Benedicto-Aleman's residence in Fairview.
Authorities did not comment on a motive.
Bail was set at $1 million for Rojas and $150,000 for Benedicto-Aleman. No information was available on whether they had retained lawyers.
