2 LI Employees Accused of Stealing Credit Card Information

Police say two Home Depot employees are accused of purchasing gift cards in the amount of $200,000 with stolen credit card information.

Nassau County police say 22-year-old Frederick Harris Jr. of Baldwin and 21-year-old Steve Kerr of Spring Gardens face charges of grand larceny.

Police say the two cashiers worked at a Home Depot in Hempstead.

They say the two, along with several unidentified individuals, purchased Home Depot and Visa gift cards in various amounts using the fraudulent credit card information. The transactions occurred between June 21 and Aug. 17.

The defendants were arrested Wednesday and are set to be arraigned Thursday.

It wasn't immediately known if they had lawyers who could comment on the charges.
