One boater was killed and another was seriously injured after their boat capsized in a harbor off Staten Island Tuesday morning, the NYPD says.
The boaters were in Great Kills Harbor near Mansion Avenue when the boat overturned at about 10:30 a.m., according to the FDNY.
Both victims were rescued from the water and were taken to Staten Island University Hospital South.
Police say that one was pronounced dead at the hospital, and the other is still there in serious condition.
No one else was on board the small vessel.
