Ah, the dismal science indeed. An NYU economics prof who predicted the current economic crisis in the U.S. says there's more downturn on the way -- take an 18-month recession that's the worst since Great Depression, for example.
Insects were killing trees in Beijing so officials did the only logical thing: "They built about 20 huge buildings. ...Parasites are released into the rooms to lay their eggs in the larvae" Sounds great. Basically, they infected insect larvae with parasites and so far it's seemed to work.
It's possible there exists a trove of manuscripts, letters and other unpublished works by Kafka but the keeper of said papers is maintaining her silence -- at least for a few more months.
