Catherine Malandrino's Hudson Street outpost is currently running one of our favorite kinds of charitable enterprises: Bring in gently-worn clothing for donation, and get new goods at a hefty discount.
Here's how it works: Bring in any piece of clothing to Catherine Malandrino's Meatpacking District shop at 652 Hudson Street -- it could be from any designer, but please, only gently-worn items -- and the folks at the store will give you a 30 percent discount on anything you buy from the new Spring/Summer 2010 collection. All the donations will go to Housing Works, an organization dedicated to providing services to homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS.
