FLEA COUNTRY: Brooklyn has fleas! Following in the steps of the Brownstoner Flea and the Brooklyn Bridge Flea comes the Park Slope Flea at 20th Street and 5th Avenue. The market's inaugural weekend kicks off with a grand opening party this Saturday. Expect antiques, handmade goods and much more.

PENNY ARTS: Art collectors, take note: economic downturn is your friend. Through 5/10, more than 60 galleries from all over the world will make works by their artists available for as low as $100 at the Affordable Art Show; expect paintings, drawings, sculptures, video, photography and limited edition prints. 7 W 34th Street.

DIY ON TAP: Vendors galore bring their beautiful goods -- from clothing to jewelry -- to Gowanus' Bell House for the Spring Handmade Cavalcade fair, sponsored by Etsy and Yelp. Saturday and Sunday. (See our previous coverage here.)

OVER THE BRIDGE: The 7th Annual BKLYN Designs show takes over St. Ann's Warehouse in DUMBO, with talks, house tours, and -- most importantly -- dozens of exhibitors showing off (and selling) the gorgeous, unique interior design trends you will want to buy for your home. Through Sunday.

UPTOWN STYLE: By which we mean waaaay uptown -- 118th Street in Harlem, to be precise.
