David Yassky was officially overruled.
Wednesday afternoon the City Council approved the Dock Street apartment building in DUMBO by a vote of 40 to 9, in a rare move that overruled the local Council member, Mr. Yassky, on a land use project.
The vote came after the project received support from Council Speaker Christine Quinn.
