In a stroke of genius, ABC has decided to hire Tim Gunn to host its Academy Awards preshow this year, alongside ABC morning-news anchor Robin Roberts and Entertainment Weekly managing editor Jess Cagle. Will he be able to resist raking the ugly gowns over the coals, like when he told Blayne on the last season of Project Runway that his drag-queen costume looked like a pterodactyl out of a gay Jurassic Park?
