Atlantic Food Site Fills You Up

New York alum Corby Kummer launched The Atlantic’s food site today, and there’s a lot to, uh, digest. His contributors include Bill Niman and Grant Achatz and there are stories about food trends (artisanal ice cream), politics (sustainability), and famous people eating (Larry David). Hey, that sounds familiar! If you want to see how New York food issues play out in the rest of the country, and the world, Kummer's site is a good place to do it. What makes The Atlantic a great magazine is its ability to make “big ideas” compelling and accessible; to do this with food could educate a whole new group of eaters who prefer food news to food porn. But please, Corby, move away from cupcakes.
