Author Jonathan Ames Is Anything But “Bored to Death” in Brooklyn

Jonathan Ames, writer of the HBO detective-comedy, “Bored to Death,” chatted with Niteside outside Building on Bond in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn after a viewing of its second season premiere. He indulged in his inner Brooklynite and described the spots that inspired the script (including this very bar/café, featured in Episode 5) and admitted that the show is just proof of his secret dream to be a bad-ass (we think he already is). “Bored to Death,” starring Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis, and Ted Danson, airs Sundays at 9:30 PM ET on HBO.
