Greenpoint's Paloma Burned in Post-Election Blaze

Greenpoint: A Greenpoint tipster writes in today with the news that the building at 60 Greenpoint Ave., which holds the restaurant Paloma, caught fire last night around the time Obama clinched the election. We were half expecting people to be turning over cars, but burning down buildings?:

"After it was apparent that Obama won, we went outside and there was a fire that developed very quickly. Weird thing is the neighboring building was empty...There were still people inside the restaurant when the upstairs started to burn....

The fireman were pretty quick, but it burned REALLY quick, was very scary. My first thought was arson because that restaurant is HORRIBLE and no one is ever there"

Well, usually arsonists wait until after their customers have left, so we'll rule that one out. Any diners or fellow witnesses should feel free to write in with their reports.
