Gwen Stefani Named Coach on "The Voice" Season 7

    Gwen Stefani will be a coach on "The Voice" for the show's seventh season.

    Gwen Stefani has been named a coach on "The Voice" for the singing competition's upcoming seventh season, NBC announced Tuesday.

    After rumors of the singer's move to the show, of the No Doubt frontwoman turned solo artist will officially occupy one of the big red chairs alongside longtime coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, as well as fellow new coach Pharrell Williams.

    Stefani, 44,  will be taking the place of Shakira for the show's seventh season and Christina Aguilera will return for season eight. Aguilera is opting out of the upcoming season because she's expecting her second child.

    To welcome the new coaches to The Voice stage, the two will be performing on the show Monday, May 5. Gwen Stefani will be performing her number one hit, "Hollaback Girl" and Pharrell will perform his new single "Come Get It Bae."

    Pharrell Williams is taking over for CeeLo Green, who will not be returning to the show.
