One Oklahoma man thinks country star Blake Shelton is a "pretty good fella" after the singer and "The Voice" judge helped yank his truck from a flooded road.
Roho Hartman was driving near Ardmore, Oklahoma, when he got stuck in waist-deep water dropped by Tropical Storm Bill, NBC affiliate KFOR reported.
A passerby saw Hartman and started to help push his stalled truck up a hill. A few minutes later, another good Samaritan with a familiar face arrived.
“The guy said, ‘Are you ready?'” Hartman told KFOR. “I thought, 'That looks like Blake Shelton.' That's exactly what I thought.”
The man didn't just look like the singer – it was him.
Oklahoma native Shelton used a rope to help get the truck out of water, but Hartman needed one more favor.
“I said, 'Hey, could you give me a ride home?'” Hartman said. “He said, ‘Where do you live?' I said, ‘Just right over yonder.'"
While riding shotgun in Shelton's Dodge truck, Hartman got a phone call from his wife.
“I said, 'You wouldn’t believe it, Blake Shelton pulled me out and he's going to go ahead and bring me on home,'” Hartman said. “(I) said, ‘You better slick up, you know, we’ll be there in just a minute.'”
Shelton dropped Hartman off at home, but didn't leave before snapping a photo. Hartman said he "hit it off real good" with Shelton and thinks maybe they'll stay in touch.
“Get him on that Facebook deal, however that is, I don’t know nothing about it,” Hartman said. “It was pretty good, he’s a good fella I think, I like him.”
