Anne Hathaway has a message for the haters.

Anne Hathaway is making a preemptive strike against body shamers.

The Oscar-winning actress took to social media on Thursday to send a message to would be trolls that she will be gaining weight for her new movie role. Hathaway warned those who will try to criticize her image that it will backfire in the future.

"I am gaining weight for a movie role and it is going well," Hathaway said. To all the people who are going to fat shame me in the upcoming months, it's not me, it's you"

Hathaway hasn't been one to shy away from firing back at trolls. In 2013, following Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress in Les Miserables, Hathaway was met with backlash over her dress.

She responded stating "I had full-blown laryngitis and had to sing, and a bunch of corny haters were getting lots of attention from the media for being haters but you know what? It was still the best," Hathaway wrote.

The star actress ended her Instagram post on Thursday stating " PS -- I wanted to set this to Queen’s 'Fat Bottomed Girls' but copyright said [no]," she added. "Continued peace xx."
