We're Loving: Collina Strada Spring 2011

Eco-friendly Angeleno label, Collina Strada, has been our go-to source for crazy totes and funky pleated backpacks, so we were excited to hear that designer Hillary Taymour whipped up an especially awesome collection for Spring 2011.

Consisting of reinvented signatures (their staple knapsack, for example, was given a make-under with smaller proportions and simple tobacco leather) and tons of new styles, Taymour used the new season as an opportunity to flesh out her brand vision. New pieces included a giant envelope clutch (we're not kidding—you could fit your little brother in this thing), easy bucket bags, mini-pouchettes, makeup bags, yoga carryalls and a leather vest in bright orange leather.

And oh, the printed totes!  If there's a God, we will come to posess one of Collina Strada's layered canvas totes in soft watercolor gray (though honestly, we be happy to carry any of the six color options). Perfect in their simplicity, these funky printed bags are a seasonless no-brainer. We can't wait to get our hands on one (or two, or three) when they hit stores.

Also check out the brand's mini-collab with Need Supply Co., which included a pleated leather backpack with a plaid cashmere body. Talk about school geek chic.
