Jessica Simpson will launch the "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" collection for Zales this October, WWD reports.
Fine jewelry becomes the 22nd retail category for Simpson, who has proven herself to be a powerful earner when it comes to her expanding empire spanning apparel, handbags, footwear and fragrances.
The Zales collection comprises pendants, bangles, rings and earrings priced between $79 and $999, and includes Simpson's favorite diamond-encrusted rose gold butterfly pendants, silver crosses and pieces inspired by the singer's own handwriting.
In the report, Zales CEO Theo Killion cited Simpson's "girl next door" persona as the perfect match for the jewelry chain's "mid-market guest," which Simpson echoed in her aim to reach "all women and girls of different shapes, budgets and tastes." Simpson becomes the chain's latest big-name collaborator, joining fellow retail dynamo Vera Wang, who announced a bridal collection for Zales earlier this month.
With her business endeavors showing no sign of slowing down, Simpson returns to television in a perfectly-timed fashion capacity, as mentor on NBC's upcoming reality competition, "Fashion Star."
