'Tis the season for giving, but who doesn't appreciate a little extra incentive? On December 14th, Weatherproof, supplier of all things warm and water-resistant, will join forces with New York Cares to host "Coats for Clunkers," a charity drive that will award $100 vouchers towards brand-new Weatherproof jackets with every gently-used coat donated.
Voucher recipients will be able to log on to coatsforclunkers.com to redeem their gift certificates on one of three men's or women's styles. Images aren't available yet, but we imagine the program will be a perfect way to knock one or two gifts off the list--and clear a little extra closet space in the meantime.
The "Coats for Clunkers" drive will be collecting at Penn Station in the Amtrak Rotunda from December 14th to 16th, and bundle up in a little holiday spirit. Coats will be collected from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.
