Clippings: Sally Singer Leaves Vogue for T

- In an industry where the head honchos often stay put for decades, the past couple of months have been full of shakeups, all kicked off by Stefano Tonchi's move from heading up T to heading up W (taking Lynn Hirschberg with him). Closing the loop is today's massive news that Vogue's long serving fashion news and features director, Sally Singer, is leaving Vogue to become editor-in-chief of W (news revealed, aptly, on Twitter). She'll start July 5. We think she'll be absolutely brilliant, but she's created a serious void at the magazine, as evidenced by Anna Wintour's decision to promote two people from within to replace her. - In other news that six months ago would have seemed equally unlikely, Linda Evangelista is the new face of Talbots, a line that's -- needless to say -- in the midst of a serious image revamp. [NY Post]

- Hipster purveyor Urban Outfitters now has a scoop-neck tee with a graphic for The New York Times. Make of this what you will. [New York Observer]

- Horror of horrors: McQueen's alien-like shoe has been knocked off by LF, a sister brand to Jeffrey Campbell. We're not sure we could have worn it when it was slick and lizard-like ... We're even less sure we'd wear its knock-off little sibling in black. [Refinery29]
