Only bumping into Wes Anderson in Freeman's Alley in the 1920s could be more perfect than Cole Haan's new, back-to-their-roots, vintage-inspired capsule collection honoring the brand's original craftsmen, Cole Rood & Haan, shot in NYC by Todd Selby.
Cole Rood & Haan's line of women's shoes for fall consist of impeccably constructed, super-fine leather dripping with gamine charm. The boyish punched-leather, lace-up oxfords, classic boat shoes, riding boots and an old-school combat boot dubbed the "Bimbo". We like. The beauty of CR&H is its razor sharp depiction of supremely fresh fashion that looks totally new, in a way that will definitely last forever. And that's not code for investment-size prices, either, the line is comfortably set between $225-$525.
But enough talking, take a look at the perfectly New York-ish photo campaign by photog Todd Selby. Taking an adventure from his day job of shooting "interesting people in their creative spaces," Selby follows around some pretty interesting-seeming people around different downtown spots, totally capturing the spirit of the stuff. This is fall frolicking through the city at its very best.
