“Go Outside,” the buoyant, summery standout from Cults’ self-titled debut, now has an official music video. In keeping with the track’s intro — a vocal sample of Peoples Temple cult leader Jim Jones — the video consists mostly of news reports on the 1978 Jonestown Massacre and other found footage.
It’s the latest in a raft of music videos based on found footage, and a stark contrast to the scripted, linear narrative video for the band’s lead single “Abducted.”
