An Emmy® award-winning lifestyle host for NBC and their independent production arm, LXTV, Sara Gore has logged over 3,000 hours of live and taped television over the past 15 years. She currently hosts New York Live, NBC 4 New York’s daily lifestyle series, airing weekdays at 11:30AM, serving up a daily dose of the very best New York has to offer from the latest fashion trends, celebrity news and interviews, top food and restaurant choices, as well as entertainment. She most recently launched NYL: Prime Time Edition which airs Friday nights on NBC 4 New York at 7:15pm. She has also hosted NBC’s First Look Live on the Red Carpet Specials for the Golden Globes, Primetime Emmy Awards, and other live specials for several years.
Gore also hosts NBC’s hugely popular Emmy® award-winning real estate and design show, Open House, she invites viewers into the country’s most lavish (and in some cases, celebrity) homes, giving her fans advice and inspiration from the industry’s best designers, in-demand brokers and home improvement experts.
Early in her career, Gore pursued her passion for food by working as a personal chef, food columnist, running her own catering company, and as a line cook for internationally renowned chef/restaurateur, Jean-Georges Vongerichten. She has continued to demonstrate her cooking skills on television (The Today Show, The Martha Stewart Show and on her own Emmy® nominated show Recipe Revamp), in commercials as the face of Dinner Made Easy for General Mills and for DeCecco Pasta, and at home for her husband and three kids. Sara has also appeared on the Food Network as a guest judge on Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition and as a regular guest judge on Beat Bobby Flay.
Though her career spans interests like food, fashion, celebrities and entertainment, real estate has always been a central theme in Sara’s life. On top of her ongoing 14-year run hosting NBC’s hugely popular show, Open House, Sara is now a licensed real estate salesperson working exclusively with SERHANT. Signature clients looking to achieve their real estate dreams in the world’s most dynamic market.
Originally from upstate New York, Gore graduated summa cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College as a Communications Major and Business/Theater Minor.
