An Emmy® award-winning broadcast professional and one of the nation’s most recognized lifestyle experts, Sara Gore is the co-host of New York Live, NBC 4 New York’s popular daily lifestyle series. Airing weekdays at 11:30 AM, Gore and co-host Jacque Reid serve up a daily dose of the very best New York has to offer from the latest fashion trends to celebrity news and interviews, top food and restaurant choices, and entertainment.
In addition to her work on New York Live and sister station NBC 10 Boston’s The Hub Today, Gore is the host of the nationally-syndicated real estate and design show Open House. Produced by NBC’s independent production arm LX.TV, the weekly series airs on NBC Owned Stations across the country and takes viewers into the country’s most lavish (and in some cases, celebrity) homes, while delivering advice and inspiration from the industry’s best designers, in demand brokers, and home improvement experts.
Gore also serves as host for NBC’s 1st Look “Live on the Red Carpet” specials for the Golden Globes, Primetime Emmy Awards, and for other live specials produced for LX.TV. Over the past decade, she has logged over 3000 hours of live and taped television through her combined work for NBC 4 New York, NBC 10 Boston and LX.TV.
Early in her career, Gore pursued her passion for food by working as a personal chef, food columnist, running her own catering company, and as a line cook for internationally renowned chef/restaurateur, Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Her culinary skills have been showcased to national audiences through appearances on TODAY, The Steve Harvey Show and The Martha Stewart Show). Gore has been featured in commercials for DeCecco Pasta and as the face of Dinner Made Easy for General Mills. She has also appeared on the Food Network as a guest judge on Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition and regularly serves as a guest judge on Beat Bobby Flay.
Gore is in production on her Emmy®-nominated new cooking show Recipe Revamp taking food lovers on a journey to the best restaurants and the opportunity to sit with the world's most renowned chefs as they demonstrate their signature dishes. Her next step is taking viewers into her own kitchen to recreate the dish for the home cook. Scheduled to air in 2020 on NBC’s top markets on Saturday nights, the show is meant to both energize and entertain novices and professionals alike celebrating the artistry and instruction that will make anyone feel like a Top Chef in their own home.
Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day (and the one that her kids love the most) Sara has also produced a series of 30-60 second cooking vignettes called “Breakfast with Open House.” These can be accessed on her Facebook page, at www.breakfastwithopenhouse.com, or running in the back of a NYC taxi cab.
Originally from upstate New York, Gore graduated summa cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College as a Communications Major and Business/Theater Minor. She currently resides with her family in Westchester County.
