Hetty Chang is an Emmy Award-winning reporter for NBC4. She covers stories across Southern California with emphasis in the Orange County.
Hetty is a proud Southern California native who is honored to report alongside the journalists she grew up watching. She returned to NBC4 after serving a digital media fellowship through a pilot program between NBC4 and the Asian American Journalists Association in 2011.Under the fellowship, Hetty worked closely with the station’s digital media team and gained valuable experience across multiple media platforms. Hetty got her start in the business at LA Cityview Channel 35 and then reported for the NBC stations in Reno and Las Vegas.
Hetty quickly gained the respect of her colleagues as a hard worker and tenacious reporter. She has covered a number of memorable stories including traveling to South Korea to report on Southern California athletes at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, providing around-the-clock reports in the heart of Olympic Village.
