Last year, New York State cut all middle school exams and several Regents exams at the high school level that tested foreign language. Carmen Campos, president of the Foreign Language Association of Chairpersons and Supervisors, spoke with Lynda Baquero about her group’s fight to preserve foreign language proficiency exams in New York.
