Trump Assassination Skit Lands Students in Hot Water

Several Texas high school students have been reprimanded after performing a skit featuring the assassination of President-elect Donald Trump. San Antonio’s Northside Independent School District says a John Marshall High School teacher never gave approval to two students acting out the assassination in her classroom. Barry Perez, spokesperson for the district, says the students’ assignment was to prepare a short skit as part of a Shakespeare lesson, turn the script in, and then with approval, act it out. “When they came into present their script on Friday they had changed, had amended the presentation,” Perez said in an interview. Instead the two boys went rogue, acting out an assassination of Trump. Despite rumors saying otherwise, Perez says the teacher, a former educator of the year award winner, reprimanded the students right away.
