Three 9/11 Heroes Die in Less Than a Week

Another of the first responders who rushed to help out at Ground Zero has died. He’s one of the 758 emergency workers and volunteers who’ve died since the September 11th attacks, according to the State Department of Health.One mourner said…41 year old Robert Grossman should have had more years, but still left his mark.Grossman’s wife and six year old son joined dozens of fellow officers to honor the 15 year NYPD veteran who died after a 3 and a half year battle with cancer. A cancer his loved ones say resulted from his work at Ground Zero after the 9-11 attack.In fact, Grossman is the 3rd Ground zero first responder to die of cancer in the last five days.First responder Mike Valentin led a group of mourners…who say they, too, are dying from 9-11 related illnesses. They are demanding that Congress approve financial help for them.Thus far, though, health officials have refused to confirm a link between the illness in men like these and Ground Zero. A fact Robert Grossman’s father says needs to change before more die.
