‘Come From Away' Play Tells Story of Small Canadian Town After 9/11

A Broadway musical tells the story of Gander, Newfoundland, which received 7,000 diverted passengers after the Sept. 11 attacks. Despite its tragic influence, the musical is filled with laughs and has proven to be a real crowd-pleaser. “I think right now our world, and specifically our country, is anxious to hear a positive message; a story that talks about kindness,” actor Joel Hatch, who plays the mayor of Gander, said.
