Sinkhole Swallows Radioactive Water

Dozens of private wells near a central Florida fertilizer plant are being tested for radioactive contamination. A sinkhole opened under a gypsum stack at the Mosaic plant in Mulberry on Aug. 27 and sucked 215 million gallons of radioactive contaminated water into the aquifer. The public wasn’t informed until last week.
