Protest Leader Facing Charges After Journalist Attack

A leader of the Brooklyn COVID protest last week that turned into a violent attack on a well-known local journalist is in custody and facing charges of inciting to riot and unlawful imprisonment, the NYPD said late Sunday. Harold “Heshy” Tischler is expected to be arraigned Monday in the Oct. 7 attack on reporter Jacob Kornbluh, who alleged he was set upon after Tischler pointed him out to the crowd.
