Peruvian Woman Emerges From Mudslide Debris

A Peruvain woman barely escaped a raging mudslide on the outskirts of Lima. Peruvian television aired the dramatic video of Evangelina Chamorro Diaz emerging from the mud. The video shows her stumbling as she crawls to safety. She says she survived by grabbing onto pieces of wood and tree branches to create a makeshift bridge to pull herself out of the muck. Witnesses rushed her to a hospital.
