Mother's Day Table for 1,500 On Long Island

A Mother’s Day brunch like no other was held on Long Island Sunday. Some 1,500 mothers and their families celebrated the holiday at the historic Milleridge Inn in Jericho. The big event began just before noon with a buffet. All the mothers were treated with a rose. One mother told an NBC New York cameraman: “All mothers are wonderful, and to have children is the greatest thing to have happen.” The Milleridge Inn dates back to 1672.
