Missing Girl Found Alive, Chained to Tree After Abduction

A 6-year-old North Carolina girl has been reunited with her family after she was kidnapped and left chained to a tree. Stefanny Lenneth Lopez-Castro was abducted from her home in the Royal Palms Wednesday night. Officials said Thursday afternoon she is doing well. “We beat the odds today, it’s safe to say,” Sheriff Edward McMahon said during a news conference. “We worked tirelessly, relentlessly through the night and I am glad to say, thank the Lord we found her this morning alive and well.”
