Mayor De Blasio Announces Plan to Cut Pedestrian Death Toll

Eleven people have died from traffic related accidents in the city since the start of the new year, and seven of them were pedestrians. Surrounded by parents of several children who were killed or seriously injured in traffic accidents, Mayor de Blasio announced a plan Wednesday to eradicate all pedestrian deaths in New York City by 2024.
