Manhattan Food Pantry Offers More Convenience to Struggling Families

One Manhattan food pantry is offering more choice and convenience to struggling families. Starting this week clients at at the Yorkville Common Pantry can order their groceries online, then pick them up at a convenient time. Cynthia Callwood says the program, called “YCP Direct” makes her feel “valued.” Callwood is a mother of five who struggles to afford enough fruits and vegetables on her nurse’s salary. Her pantry selections help her make ends meet. Our Melissa Russo reports.
