Kidnapped Florida Girl Rescued, Suspect Nabbed

Tears of joy fell down the face of Oma Mae Lewis, the grandmother of kidnapped 4-year-old Rebecca Lewis, as she described the feeling of knowing her granddaughter had been found safe and unharmed. “Like the world had been lifted off my shoulders.” said Mae Lewis. “Now the next world is just putting her back in our arms, so ya’ll go get her and bring her back.” Memphis Police were alerted to a car matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle on Monday, and found both the suspect and Rebecca Lewis inside — 800 miles from the girl’s home. The suspect, 31-year-old West Wild Hogs, has been taken into custody. Hogs was a family friend who even lived with the Lewis family until two years ago. Police said he suffers from depression and bipolar disorder and that they don’t know why he allegedly took Lewis. Melissa Marino reports.
