Hero Fisherman Saves 3

A fisherman who went in the water to rescue people trapped in a sinking car is getting thanks in Brooklyn tonight. This security video from a nearby pier shows a car smashing through a metal rail and dropping into Sheepshead Bay. Driver Alla Yelizarov and two teenage daughters were inside. Deck hand Keith Gorman, who was loading passengers on to his boat two piers away, ran over, kicked off his shoes and dove in. All three passengers in the car were extracted unhurt. A spokesman for Brooklyn congressman Anthony Weiner says Gorman is being given a proclamation that recognizes heroic action that helped save three lives.
