Grandma Blasts 4th-Grade Slavery ‘Monopoly' Game

A grandmother says she’s outraged by a “Monopoly-like” game featuring shackles, plantations, severe punishment and simulated slaves running toward freedom played as part of a fourth-grade Black History Month lesson. The North Carolina school involved has defended the game, saying it was conducted in small groups with students talking about the activity with the teacher. WECT’s Ben Smart reports.
