Christopher Pendergrast and Ride For Life

ALS. You probably know it as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It’s a debilitating disease that usually kills a person within three years after it’s diagnosed. But not Christopher Pendergrast, a remarkable man who’s outlived expectations. 13 years ago he started the ride for life: an annual journey from Montauk to Manhattan. This year, he was still riding along. Since 1998 the Ride for Life has raised more then 2 million dollars for ALS research and treatment.
