‘We Couldn't Touch Her': Parents of Baby Hit by Overthrown Softball Pitch Talks Medical Challenge, Road to Recovery

McKenna Hovenga, the Iowa infant who suffered a skull fracture and brain bleed when she was hit by an overthrown pitch at a softball game in early May, is finally home. She spent six weeks in the Mayo Clinic children’s hospital — her parents weren’t even able to hold her. They couldn’t make noise. They just had to wait — and watch. And now they’re talking about it all. KWWL’s Jessica Hartman reports.
