“California Has Come to New Jersey”: Drought Conditions Dry up the Garden State

Most of New Jersey is experiencing a drought this season as residents face water restrictions, farmers mourn their struggling crops and several main reservoirs sit below 50 percent capacity. Right now restrictions on water usage are voluntary, but they may become mandatory if demand is high and rain is low in the coming weeks. Brian Thompson travels to one withering cornfield in East Brunswick, where farmer Bob Kelemen has watched his crop dry up under a relentless hot sun.
