The Many Workplace Dangers of the Emergency Room

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the workplace violence injury rate for private hospital employees is five times the national rate in Connecticut, nearly seven times in New Jersey and eight times in New York. A survey also revealed that nearly half of all ER doctors had been assaulted, nearly all of which were by a patient. NBC New York’s Jonthan Dienst reports.
