New Jersey Rep. Donald Payne Jr. dies at 65

NJ Rep. Payne has died at 65 after suffering what his staff called a “cardiac episode” earlier in April stemming from complications tied to diabetes. Payne had served in Congress since 2013 in the state’s 10th congressional district, covering parts of Essex, Hudson and Union counties.
