Shia LaBeouf, best known for his film work, is heading to Broadway this spring to star alongside Alec Baldwin in the play "Orphans."
It will mark the 26-year-old actor's debut on the Great White Way.
Shia shines a spotlight on poverty
The revival of Lyle Kessler's 1983 play, which centers on two orphaned brothers (one being LaBeouf) who kidnap a rich older man (Baldwin), will be directed by Tony winner Daniel Sullivan.
Preview performances are scheduled to begin March 19, 2013, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, with opening set for April 7.
